Our Story

Why Speak Up Studio Was Created

Speak Up Studio was founded by Charles and Raymond after noticing a common problem. Many studios offered equipment and space, but clients were left to manage the cameras, lighting, microphones, and performance themselves.

The two of them had been in that position themselves. Charles had spent years helping researchers and innovators translate complex ideas into clear, compelling communication. Ray had built businesses from the ground up and understood what it took to get a message in front of the right audience. Between them, they had a clear picture of what a truly useful studio would look like.

So they built it. Speak Up Studio opened in Laval in October 2024, and the idea was simple: show up with a full team, operate everything, and let the client focus entirely on what they actually came to do. That model hasn't changed. Every session since day one has worked the same way.

The People Behind Speak Up Studio

Charles Homsi: Co-Founder

Charles has spent his career helping people clearly and confidently communicate ideas they already had to audiences who needed to hear them. Before Speak Up Studio, he spent years at the intersection of science and communication, working with researchers and experts to turn complex knowledge into stories that actually land.

He runs client sessions himself, which means the person directing your recording knows exactly what it feels like to stand in front of a camera and try to explain something that matters to you. He also runs a bilingual mastermind community for entrepreneurs in the Greater Montreal area.

Raymond Habre: Co-Founder

Ray brings the business side. He's built companies in the Quebec market, understands how audiences think, and knows what it actually takes to turn content into traction. He's been in the room when good ideas didn't get the attention they deserved simply because they weren't communicated the right way.

At Speak Up Studio, Ray focuses on the operational and strategic side of the business while staying close to the client experience. His instinct is to ask what a piece of content actually needs to do before worrying about how it looks.
